PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Two large 120 year old oaks leaning towards an Accord home were removed by the owners, who loved their beauty but recognized the damage they could do should they fall in one of the growing number of severe storms.
Once a weekend rereat, the house became a primary residence during the pandemic. To make it more comfortable while putting the wood from the oaks to use, we identified furniture needs, created designs that suited existing spaces, and had the logs milled and dried to our specifications.
With that material we constructed a suite of bedroom (a Perri Bed, two side tables, a bench, two chairs and an Eclipse Coffee Table) and living room (two sofas, a daybed, and three coffee tables) furniture, and made two additional coffee tables to be used in their study and Brooklyn apartment, with wood to spare.
