PROJECT DESCRIPTION

When adding onto their home, our clients were forced to remove a beloved sizable white oak. They had the logs milled, determined to honor it by integrating the wood into their home, but didn't know what to do next. They contacted us with their design goals, which centered around a brutalist outdoor table with benches, a mid-century inspired slat bench with drawers, a complex bookmatched waterfall L-shaped countertop, a coffee table, and a pedestal to display a favorite vase.

NYH determined what materials were best used for each project, handled the transport, drying, and rewsawing to get the materials needed, and then had everything fabricated, putting to use every last board and beam milled from their tree, with nothing wasted.

CLIENT TESIMONIAL

I just had to send these pics because I love, love, love it! Thanks again for all you and Ashira and crew put into this... All the pieces you made continue to look beautiful — people come into the house, walk over to the table or the bar and can’t resist “petting” it. And the other pieces — the coffee tables, storage bench, and pedestal — are still gorgeous and useful anchors for how the place looks and functions. They all make me happy every time I see them."
